Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 216
Serving the community for 45+ years, Pack 216 welcomes boys and girls K - 5 from all over Pacifica. We typically meet the 1st Friday of every month during the school year at Cabrillo Elementary School.
Pack Organization
A group of Scouts working on earning the same rank make up a Den and is led by a Den Leader.
All the Dens together make up the Pack. A Cubmaster plans and runs the monthly Pack Meetings.
The Pack Committee arranges activities, outings, camping trips, service projects, fundraising, etc.
Cub Scout Ranks
Our Pack is organized into three basic groups:
Lions - Kindergartner
Tiger - 1st Graders
Wolf - 2nd Graders
Bear - 3rd Graders
Webelos - 4th
Arrow of Light - 5th Graders
The Bobcat badge is the first award earned by all Cub Scouts (except Lion). The Bobcat Scout learns the fundamental concepts of Scouting such as the Scout Oath and Law, and the Cub Scout Sign, handshake, Motto, and Salute.
All new Cub and Webelos Scouts must first earn the Bobcat badge except Lions. Lions earn Bobcat after they complete the Lion badge. After earning the Bobcat badge, Scouts work towards the rank of Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, or Arrow of Light depending upon their age.
